Review

Promising but pedestrian story of early jazz travels from New Orleans to Chicago, focusing on trumpeter Cooper (who's dubbed by Bunny Berrigan).  The one constant is good music throughout; at the very end, there's a jam session featuring Benny Goodman, Charlie Barnet, Gene Krupa, Harry James, Jack Jenny, Joe Venuti, and Alvino Rey.  **
